Blaze A Trail
June was an exciting month in terms of new releases from home-grown talent. Of course, we still lacked any live gigs due to the ongoing lockdown, but that hasn’t stopped our favourite artists from sharing brand new music that continues to showcase the incredible strength and depth the UK country crossover scene possesses.

Hollywood Gypsy
York superstar and TBCMF alumni Twinnie continued to shine throughout June with the official release of new single ‘More’, which has been lifted off her breakout debut LP ‘Hollywood Gypsy’. The official music video for the track was also released after it was filmed and edited during lockdown. An impressive visual, it truly brings the song to life.
Twinnie also took over Nashville Meets London on Facebook for an hour-long virtual concert from her London home. The performance was outstanding and we even got to hear a snippet of a brand new, unreleased song; ‘F Word’, and got confirmation that a “surprise” EP will be dropping this September.
June also saw the English singer/songwriter shoot the official video for ‘Whiplash’ with social distancing in place. During June, Twinnie also shared the stunning live acoustic version of her huge crossover hit ‘I Love You, Now Change’. The latest, stripped back version is nothing short of outstanding.

Seven Billion
Meanwhile The Adelaides continued to blaze a trail across the British scene with the release of their outstanding new single ‘Seven Billion’ which has been inspired by mean comments Abi, Paris, and Alicia have faced in the past. It is an empowering anthem about owning who you are and learning to feel totally at ease in your own skin. This is without doubt their best release to date.
The Space Between
Ward Thomas also wowed during this past month with the release of their mesmerising new EP ‘The Space Between’, which is a collection of divine songs that capture the magic of the twins’ sibling harmonies. The record also includes a gorgeous version of Fleetwood Mac’s ‘Landslide’ and it is truly stunning.
They perform it so beautifully whilst putting their own Ward Thomas spin on it, all the while retaining the magic of the original. The EP acts as a stop-gap between their third album ‘Restless Minds’, and their fourth LP which is slated for release later this year
1400 Days
Hollie Shearer also continued to showcase her breath-taking talent as she shared her sophomore single ‘1400 Days’ which tells the real-life story of a break-up. Shearer is an incredible vocalist and songwriter and as she gears up for the official release of her debut EP she is showcasing that she is one of the UK’s finest talents.
Louise Parker | Official Video | Lie To Me
Lie To Me
Another standout of the month came from rising talent Louise Parker who shared ‘Lie To Me’. The emotive song signalled the emergence of a huge crossover sensation as it rose to number 2 on the official i-Tunes Country Chart and was even sitting above Eric Church’s latest offering at one point.
Liv Austin | Official Video | Come Find Me
Come Find Me
Liv Austen also dropped new music in June and offered listeners a stunning new sonic sound with ‘Come Find Me (When You Wanna Talk). A hugely impressive release made even more outstanding by the fact that the official music video sees Liv performing the track in British sign language. Austen has always been a remarkable performer but this newest offering really does raise the bar of what she is capable of, both as a singer and writer.
Outstanding British Country
We’re always delighted to see so much new music being shared by our outstanding British country artists and June was a real treat for fans across the nation as we got to revel in some truly amazing releases from some of the finest talent in Britain.
July promises to be even better with a slew of emerging and establish acts already putting plans in place to share brand new songs and albums with the world.
